Just one use per person so that it doesn't turn into a taunt fest. This will make that - people want to stay in game and get "revenge" on their killer, and by paying attention tot he match, they could taunt who they think is evil. Or a general one if that would be too OP, but 1 taunt to use while they're dead. One simple "fix" for Medium would be to give dead players a special taunt that the living can't use. I mean, this is a chat game, your role's abilities are the least of your worries. The alternative is to give medium a nightly ability and let players click buttons at night to feel useful.īecause that's another game design fail - tied closely to what the game teaches you - somehow they managed to get across to players that roles with no clickable abilities aren't worth playing because they don't "do" anything, and people tend to leave when they get those. I went on and suggested tons of useful game mechanics that could be implemented right now that would change that and make people pay more attention, and not leave as much while alive or dead, but i guess they don't care about that.īut until they fix the "players", they can't "fix" Medium. Which very well may be true, but others depended on them somewhat.Īnd instead of designing a graveyard experience for players so that it's rewarding to stay in games til the end and pay attention to the match til the very end, the change the Retri so there's one less reason to stay. But since people's attention span is so short they can't finish a 15 minute match, they immediately quit even if they could have won because "they're not doing anything". Medium and Retri were the roles that were designed for keeping people in graveyard because they could still be useful. It's about teaching people to stay in games til the end.īut developers dropped the ball on this one HARD.
